Welcome to the main page for The Revolution, Philadelphia's ONLY LGBTQ Women focused week!

We are so happy that you have found us and we can't wait to connect you to the incredible, diverse, talented, sexy and fun group of women who make up the LGBTQ scene in and around Philadelphia.  The Revolution is a week long celebration of those who currently or once identified as a woman and seeks to take us all offline and bring us together a wide variety of events.  In a time where politics have many of us scared and the future of both women's and LGBTQ rights seem uncertain, this week stands as both a political and community statement that we are stronger and our voices will not be silenced.  Unlike other week's, ours will only have a few nightlife events with most being charity focused, socially conscious, conversation driven events.  We want women, regardless of who they are and who they love, to feel like they have a community of people like themselves to draw from in the months and years to come.

The Revolution will take place in and around Philadelphia from February 25th to March 4th.  As March is the celebration of women nation wide, we felt there was no better time to celebrate LGBTQ women and we hope that you will join us!

Below you will find information on what events are taking place, FAQ's, information about our sponsors and so much more.  But if you can't find what you are looking for, please head over to our contact form and shoot us a message!  We'd be happy to chat with you!

Who is this week for?

The Revolution is specifically for any woman who falls under the LGBTQ umbrella.  While The Strong Catalyst is a community for lesbian women, we know our community needs more things for women in general and The Revolution is our way to bring the community together to celebrate ALL women, not just lesbians!  So if you are bisexual, queer, trans, ect this week is for you!!!  Each of the events will be used to create conversations, friendships, introduce you to ideas and businesses you might not know exist and help foster an environment of celebration for the LGBTQ experience.

Does this mean The Strong will be for all women now too?

No.  We still believe that the lesbian experience is one that doesn't have a place or community in Philadelphia and that there is a lack of lesbian representation in the larger, national LGBTQ scene.  We will continue filling in that gap by creating events, blog posts and conversation driven events around the lesbian experience year round, and use The Revolution to bring the larger group of LGBTQ women together in March.

How do I get involved?

Great question!  We are currently looking for businesses, artists, performers, organizations and more to either sponser events during our week or be apart of some the things we have planned!  If that's you, drop us a line and let us know all about who you are and what you do!

If you are interested in volunteering, we'd also love to chat with you!  Please use our contact form and let us know you wanna help make this week possible!

Charity Focused

While this week is all about celebrating women, we also want to this week to bring focus and funds to charities that serve LGBTQ women every single of the year.  We have picked three core charities, which you can learn about below, but we will also for other ways to help other organizations and charities too!  Got a cause, organization, charity, ect you'd like to see us help?  We wanna know!  Email us at and tell us all about why you believe this group could use more resources!

WOAR is Philly's ONLY rape crisis center and is a non-profit organization whose mission is to eliminate sexual violence through specialized treatment services, comprehensive prevention education programs, and advocacy for the rights of survivors of sexual assault.  WOAR provides free counseling for women, men, and children who have experienced sexual violence.

The Home for Hope is the first and only shelter  in Pennsylvania specifically for LGBTQ individuals.  It is a subsidiary of Divine Light, a group of addiction recovery homes in the Philadelphia area and is a 37 bed homeless shelter and recovery center in Philadelphia, PA for LGBTQ identified people who face myriad difficulties.

The Leeway Foundation supports women and trans artists and cultural producers working in communities at the intersection of art, culture, and social change.
